Insurance & Payment FAQ
-
Dr. Ana M. Rodriguez is an out-of-network provider and does not accept insurance directly. However, many insurance plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network therapy services. We provide a superbill (detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
-
We recommend calling your insurance provider and asking the following questions:
What are my mental health benefits for out-of-network providers?
What is my deductible, and has it been met?
How many therapy sessions are covered per year?
What percentage or amount is reimbursed per session?
Is pre-authorization required before I can be reimbursed?
How do I submit a claim for reimbursement?

Choosing an out-of-network provider allows for:
✔ Greater privacy – Your therapy records are not shared with insurance companies.
✔ More personalized care – Treatment decisions are made between you and Dr. Rodriguez, not dictated by insurance policies.
✔ Flexible treatment plans – You receive care that best fits your needs, not limited by insurance restrictions. -
After each session, we provide a superbill (an itemized receipt). You can submit this document to your insurance provider, either through their online portal or by mail. Some clients use third-party apps like Reimbursify to simplify the process.
-
Dr. Rodriguez’s session rates are as follows:
$250 for a 45-minute session
$330 for a 60-minute session
Payment is due at the time of service. While we do not accept insurance directly, many clients receive partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to explore your coverage options.

We strive to make payments as convenient as possible. We accept Venmo as our primary payment method. If you do not use Venmo, we can email you an invoice with a secure payment link, where you can pay using a credit card or a direct bank transfer. Payment is due at the time of the session.

At this time, Dr. Rodriguez does not offer sliding-scale fees. However, we understand that therapy is an investment in your well-being and encourage you to check your insurance benefits to determine your reimbursement options.
